There were many from the community who went to the sale of Harry and Lela Wedel Saturday at Marion County Fairgrounds, Hillsboro. Harry and Lela will move to Durham in the near future.
Palmer and Lucille Base attended some centennial activities Oct. 9, at the Tabor Church near Goessel. Lucille grew up in the community and was a member of the church.
Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and Kyran and Wanda Koehn went to Swan River, Manitoba Oct. 6, to visit Tom and Sara Penner and family. They returned home Oct. 13.
Henry Redger, Wendell and Linda Wedel, Roy and Nadine Davis and Eileen, and Ransom and Lilliam Wiebe attended the wedding Sunday of Louetta Koehn, daughter of Darrel and Donna Koehn, and Rodger Wolgemuth. The wedding took place at Gospel Mennonite Church, Moundridge. Louetta is Henry’s granddaughter. The couple will make their home in Bernie, Manitoba. Later, Wendell and Linda and Roy and Nadine went to visit Amanda at the manor.
Sunday dinner guests in the home of Merlin and Karletta Wiebe were Harry and Lela Wedel, Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, Stuart and Lea Isaac and Kyle, and Mike and Mich Rhodes and family of Bradley, Ark.
Mike and Mich Rhodes and family attended the sale Saturday of the belongings of grandparents Harry and Lela. They were houseguests of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, and returned home Tuesday.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe invited Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Irvin Isaac, and Mike Ryff Elmo Sunday to be dinner guests.
Lola Redger celebrated several family birthdays this week. Lola’s birthday was celebrated when she went to Newton and ate supper with her family. Later they went to the home of Ray Redger for visiting, and cake and ice cream. Lola and Verla Redger spent Saturday in Salina, eating out and shopping in honor of Verla’s birthday. Sunday supper guests of Lola were her family to help Terssa celebrate her 16th birthday.
