Ransom and Lillian Wiebe traveled to western Kansas Saturday to visit her sister, Anita, and Ken Schmidt at Montezuma. Later they stopped at Ingals to visit Gladwin and Lisa (Redger) Smith.
Senior citizens had their regular carry-in lunch at noon Wednesday at Durham Senior Center.
Guests for Sunday dinner at the home of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes were Larry and Wanda Koehn and Titus; Brian and Rebecca Thomas and family; Ruston and Lydia Dirks; Dale Jantz (his wife, Kathy, was at work); Jana Wiebe; Sarah Peachy; and Beth Koehn.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe visited Manford Nichol Wednesday at Wichita Heart Hospital. Another day, they saw Katie Buller at Memorial Hospital at McPherson.
Lance Wiebe returned home Friday from Buhl, Idaho, after helping his uncle with the corn silage harvest.
Among those who attended Sunday services at Alexanderfeld Church were Ransom and Lillian Wiebe and Doyle and Kara Wiebe. Together with the Galen Ensz family and Doris Koehn, they were dinner guests at the Abe Ensz home.
Ron and Dora Unruh went to rural Newton early Sunday evening to join the rest of the Duerksen family for a family wiener roast and hayrack ride at the farm of Don and Rachel Horst.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks and Heath, and Jarold and Rhonda Koehn and family took dinner Sunday to the home of Duane and Louise Ratzlaff and Rayletta.
Ron and Dora Unruh attended the Hillsboro High School and Hillsboro Middle School fall musical program Thursday evening at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Anita Unruh Kyle and Jenna, and Mark and Barb Unruh also went since Nathan and Sarah had a part in the program.
Sympathy is extended to Clayton and Betty Wiebe. Betty’s sister, Violet (Earl) Schneider of Hesston died last Sunday.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks and Heath, and Clayton and Betty Wiebe were Sunday afternoon lunch guests of Melvin and Vera Dirks of Hillsboro.
Roy and Nadine Davis were hosts of a Monday supper with guests Jim Redgers of Dumas, Ark.; Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Heath and Bethany; Larry and Wanda Koehn and Titus; Henry Redger; Irvin Isaac; and Harry and Kathy Friesen Bernie of Manitoba. The Redgers and Friesens were houseguests of their father, Henry. They had come to attend the wedding of their niece.
