The community wishes to express its sympathy to Wendell and Linda Wedel and Roy and Nadine Davis. Their mother, Amanda Wedel, died Thursday at Moundridge Manor. Memorial services were Sunday morning at Morning Star Church. She was 90 years old.

Ron and Dora Unruh attended a Christmas festival program presented by Tabor College Concert Choir Sunday afternoon at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Symphonic band, concert choir, and the hand bell choir performed. Their grandson, Darren Enns, is a member of the choir and band.

Lola Redger entertained her family Sunday with a supper. It was in honor of Ray’s birthday.

Richard and Kathy Dirks had their Christmas with Shon and Kim Buster and family and Heath and Mindy Buster and McKenna of Aurora, Colo., noon Sunday

The Cottonwood Grove School had its Christmas program Thursday evening at the church. On Friday the children and their teachers had a party and activities before dismissing for two weeks for Christmas break.

Richard and Kathy Dirks attended a Christmas program at Galva Elementary/Middle School Monday evening. The children of the Shon Busters had a part in it.

Senior citizens of Durham postponed their meeting Wednesday because of the snow.

Everyone was surprised at the amount of snow received overnight Monday. There was at least five inches.

The Warren Unruh family and Ron and Dora Unruh attended the third and fourth grade school Christmas program last Thursday at Hillsboro. Kyle had a part in the program.
