Clayton and Betty Wiebe left Oct. 15 for Livingston, Calif., area to attend a health care meeting Oct. 15 and 16. They went to Los Angeles Oct. 17 to visit Lester and Kristina Friesen. Kristina is Clayton’s sister. The Wiebes returned home Oct. 20.
Lola Redger’s brother, Leo Nightingale, died Oct. 23 in Oklahoma City. A memorial service was Oct. 26 at the Greenfield Mennonite Church near Carnegie, Okla. Lola, Lisa, and Ray left Oct. 25 to attend the service, they arrived home late the next evening.
Kendall and Susie Wiebe were dinner guests Oct. 25 of Merlin and Karletta Wiebe.
Some of those that attended the dedication of the New Suncrest Church a mile south of Galva Oct. 25 were Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and family, and Bruce and Cheryl Dirks.
The upcoming marriage of Denise Koehn, daughter of Larry and Wanda Koehn, to Christopher Schrock of Kidron, Ohio, was announced Oct. 25. The wedding will take place Nov. 29 at the Morning Star Church.
Dinner guests of Clayton and Betty Wiebe Oct. 25 were Stuart and Lea Isaac and Kyle, Irvin Isaac, Dale and Kathy Jantz, and Tim Davis.
Tim Koehn and family, Dalton Wiebe and family, Travis Koehn and family, and Leonard and Dianne Peachy were dinner guests Oct. 25 of Larry and Wanda Koehn.
Quite a few people gathered Oct. 22 to listen to a singing program over the phone from Window Rock, Ariz. This is where Joni Wiebe is working in the children’s home.
