Durham Baptist Kings Daughters met Aug. 12 with 20 members in attendance. Jane Vajnar had the lesson, Dora Unruh presented a mission study, and Arlene Pankratz led devotions. Pearl and Dorene Joy were hosts.
Jeff and Jenny Price and children of Arvada, Colo., and Tom and Holly Foster of Oklahoma City were weekend guests of Paul and Arlene Pankratz and the Tim Dieners. The Dieners hosted supper guests Aug. 15 including the Prices, Fosters, Pankratzes, Ken Pankratz of Durham, Kent and Emily Nichols of Hesston, Dave and Sherilyn Kadel of Randall, and Marissa Diener of Lawrence.
Elgin and Rubena Bartel attended a 40th wedding anniversary and 60th birthday celebration Aug. 14 for Vick and Barbara Kontz at Hesston.
Wayne and Linda Friesen and Justin and Amy Friesen of Salina vacationed at Breckenridge, Colo., for a week. They also visited Wayne’s two sisters, brother, and families.
Jan and Dan Schmidt and Julie Gregory of Salida, Colo., were overnight guests Aug. 4 of Pearl and Velma Hadley en route to and returning from a week in the Ozarks.
Velma Hadley accompanied her brother, Gordon Schmidt, and wife Maria of Hoschton, Ga., to Salida on Aug. 18 for several days. They watched their son-in-law, Dan Schmidt, participate in the Leadville 100-mile run on Saturday.
Bonnie Fast and her daughter, Neva, attended the 60th wedding anniversary celebration for Gerald and Helen Hornbaker on Aug. 8 in Hutchinson. Later, their guests were Thomas Vanwort, Bessie Vogt, and Phyllis Epp. Homemade ice cream was served.
