Herman Ehmer and wife of Stuttgart, Germany, visited Curtis and Connie Wiens in October. The Ehmers were on an extended trip visiting friends and family while Herman gave lectures at colleges including the University of Nebraska and Bethany College.
Curtis and Connie Wiens spent a few days in Norman, Okla., visiting Carson and Marie Karin, their son, Max Karin, and their new granddaughter, Annika.
Willis and Ruth Ann Penner spent the weekend of Oct. 30 visiting Mike and Debbie Goossen in Beatrice, Neb., and Tyler and Amber Schroeder in Firth, Neb.
Jim and Kerri Hampton of Newton were dinner guests Oct. 29 of Oliver and Frances Unruh. They celebrated the Unruhs’ 66th wedding anniversary. Wilbur Hanneman and Juanita Taylor were dinner guests Oct. 30.
Jerry and Joan Jost went Oct. 29 through 31 to Hays, where they watched their grandson, Kamren Jost of McPherson, participate in a football tournament. His team placed first. The Josts also visited their granddaughter, Jandee Miles, who is a freshman at Fort Hays State University.
Allen and Elma Schlehuber attended a varsity volleyball tournament Oct. 29 in Salina to watch their granddaughter, Maci Schlehuber, compete.
Eric and Danielle Weinbrenner of Wichita stayed the weekend of Oct. 30 with Doug and Colene Weinbrenner.
Steve and Kathy Jury celebrated their daughter Olivia’s ninth birthday Nov. 1 with lunch in McPherson.
Family and friends of Dot Ensz celebrated her 80th birthday with a reception at the Methodist Fellowship Hall on Oct. 31.
Willis and Ruth Ann Penner were dinner guests of Paul Pankratz and family on Nov. 2.
