Willis and Ruth Ann Penne hosted a family dinner Nov. 14 for the 23rd birthday of their grandson, Shane Leppke.
Baptist King’s Daughters met Nov. 11 at Durham Church Fellowship Hall. Twenty-two members were in attendance. Paula Herbel led the lesson, “Cultivating Contentment.” The group welcomed a new member. Kathy Dirks and Donna Diner were hosts.
Albert Christensen, Sara, and Andrew of Bel Aire were visitors Nov. 13 of Duane and Shirley Hamm.
Joan Jost stayed the weekend with her mother, Elda Mellott, in Peabody.
Bonnie Fast stayed a few days in Arvada, Colo., with Galen and Rachel Fast and her grandchildren, Erica and Justin Fulton. They celebrated granddaughter Morgan’s first birthday. Neva Fast of California also flew in to celebrate.
Gus and Mildred Hamm stayed the weekend in the Kansas City area and visited their son, Randy, and Jerry and Edna Malgreen.
Pastor Curtis and Connie Wiens attended a church planting meeting Nov. 11 in Kansas City.
Don and Connie Isaac spent some time at Shafter and Fresno, Calif., visiting family and friends. After they returned home, they received word that Lowell Bergman had died of a heart attack. Don returned to California to attend the funeral.
