Dave and Sharon Schrag and family of Lindsborg visited Gus and Mildred Hamm on Aug. 14. Wayne and Linda Friesen helped their granddaughter, Emma Soyez celebrate her eighth birthday. Other family and friends were also there.
Durham Baptist Kings’ Daughters met Aug. 11 for their August meeting; 22 members and three guests were present. Marcella Mohn had the lesson on contentment. Dorene Joy had the mission study on the mission in Cameroon. Paula Herbel and Eleanor Herbel were hostesses.
A group of ladies — Lois Nuss, Sheila Nuss, Beverly Elliott, Frances Unruh, Eleanor Herbel, Carol Ollenburger, Mildred Hamm, and Arlene Pankratz – had lunch Aug. 12.
Gaylord and Valera Hamm of Durham visited Arlene Pankratz on Aug. 12. Other recent visitors were Kent and Emily Nichols of Hesston, Herb and Trudy Pankratz of Abilene, Andrew Pankratz of Lawrence, and Tim and Donna Diener.
The Lowell Jost family and Mary Seibel spent Aug. 12 through 14 visiting Matt and Becka Sipe and family and Gene and Sue Seibel in Illinois.
Duane and Shirley Hamm spent Aug. 12 through 14 in Jet, Okla. where they attended the Gates family reunion. Norma Ballard of Topeka spent several days with Duane and Shirley and attended the reunion with them.
Ty Goossen spent Aug. 16 with Duane and Shirley. Aug. 17 Ty went to Manhattan where he will attend Kansas State University this fall.
