Duane and Shirley Hamm and Shirley’s sister, Norma Ballard, of Topeka, went to Hazelton April 10 to attend the farm sale of their brother, Merle Gates, who had farmed for 58 years.
Robert Sandowal of Newton visited Oliver and Frances Unruh April 21 and was their dinner guest.
Jamie and Jerri Hampton of Newton took the Unruhs as their supper guests April 16.
Gene and Sue Seibel and Sue’s granddaughter from Illinois were weekend guests of Mary Seibel. Lowell and Eleanor also visited. Mary, Gene, Sue, Eleanor, and Lowell visited Jake Seibel April 17 at Newton Medical Center.
Lucille Lancaster of Kansas City was a guest April 17 and 18 at the Dave Lancaster home. They attended the Salina Chorale Musical April 18 at the Steiffel Theatre in Salina. The Lancasters’ son, Dirk, is a member of the chorale.
Kim Miller of Battle Ground, Wash., stayed April 14 through 21 with his parents, Duane and Jane Miller.
Jan Richards of Albuquerque, N.M., stayed a week with her parents, Larry and Ruth Hamm. While she was here, they had a birthday party for Larry. Other guests were Delores Dalke and Dan and Donna Dalke of Hillsboro, Clayton and Wanda Hamm of Marion, Mark and Kathy Nachtigall and family of McPherson, and Russel and Ryan Hamm of Canton.
Dennis and Judy Penner were in the Topeka and Lawrence area April 17 and 18 where they attended a bowling tournament. Judy bowls with the Hillsboro State Bank team. Others on the team are Dot Ensz, Virginia Martens, Jessi Frantz, and Geraldine Ewert.
