CORRESPONDENTS: 'Round The Town

Round the town correspondent

Wilbur and Florence Hett attended church services Sunday at Ebenezer Church and had dinner with Von and Norma Pschigoda of rural hope. In the afternoon, they visited Betty Riffel in Abilene.

Duwane and Jane Miller visited Florence Ehrlich Sunday afternoon at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

Judy Penner’s stepfather, Ernest Wright of Syracuse, died and Judy spent Thursday through Sunday with her family at Syracuse. Dennis and Michael also attended the funeral service Friday.

Clara and Alma Toews visited at the home of Larry and Karen Ensz Friday evening in rural Hillsboro.

Paul and Arlene Pankratz were supper guests Sunday evening at the home of Willis and Ruth Ann Penner.

The Klaassen and Bartel families had their Christmas get-together at the Scout House in Hillsboro. Families who attended were Elgin and Rubena Bartel and Milford and Janell Klaassen and family of Hillsboro; Kay Bartel, Tyler and Diane Ewert and Andrea, and John and Diedra Cramer, all of Wichita; Tim and Angie Paxton and children of Shawnee Mission; Darren and Melissa Paxton and family of Derby; Zach Bartel of Great Bend; Kevin Klaassen, Ryan and Ben, Barbara Mipps, and Stephanie Vanderslipper of Big Springs, Texas; and Pete Ferrell of Beaumont, Texas.

The Ensz brothers and their wives — Norman and Dot of Hillsboro, Vic and Bernice of Topeka, Leo and Vonnie of Hot Springs, Ark., and Willie and Marilyn of Hillsboro and their families had a reunion Sunday at the Barkman Bed and Breakfast in rural Hillsboro. They especially celebrated Willie’s 75th birthday and Willie and Marilyn’s 55th wedding anniversary. There also were additional guests.

Oliver and Marcella Mohn visited at the Paul Pankratz’ Tuesday evening.
