Leonard and Hazel Hein hosted a family birthday dinner Sunday. Family who attended were Kevan and Vicki Hein and John of Durham; Todd and Jayleen Hein, and Andrew Hein and Aaron of Tampa; Tony and Brandi Hein, Henry and Grace of Newton; and Monica Hein of Lawrence. They celebrated the birthdays of Monica, Todd, Henry, Andrew, and Hazel.
Pearl Koch spent Thursday and Friday with the Tom Fleener Family at El Dorado. Pearl’s granddaughter, Megan, was one of the queen homecoming candidates Friday evening at El Dorado High School.
Lyle Kleopfer of Broken Arrow, Okla., spent the weekend with family in Hillsboro. Lyle and Pearl Koch were supper guests Saturday evening at the home of Gordon and Judy Heibert. On Sunday, Lyle and Judy Hiebert and Carrol and Carolyn Koch of Emporia had dinner together at Pearl Koch’s.
Bud and Mary Schneider of Bloomfield, Colo., and Terry and Margaret Elliott of Wichita were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Malvin Schmidts. Mary and Margaret are the Schmidts’ nieces.
Wilbur and Florence Hett attended a pancake feed Feb. 22 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in rural Hope. After the pancake feed, the Prairie Rose Wranglers from Benton presented a program of sacred music to a packed church.
