Guests at the Willis Penner’s on Sunday for a birthday dinner for Willis were Stewart and Sheree Leppke and Sheldon, Amanda Leppke of McPherson, Debbie and Mike Goossen of Beatrice, Neb., and Tyler Schroeder of Goessel.
Gerald and Joan Jost attended a birthday celebration for Joan’s mother, Elda Mellott’s 90th birthday over the weekend at the Holidome Inn in Salina. Forty family members attended.
Norman and Dot Ens attended a soccer tournament Saturday in Wichita. Their granddaughter, Stacie Ens, was one of the players. Stacie is the daughter of Terry and Joni Ens of Maize.
Friday evening Norman and Dot Ens attended a birthday party for Stacie Ens and Jake Jost at the home of Dallas and Paula Jost of rural Hillsboro.
Weekend guests at the Malvin Schmidt’s were Malvina Heinrichs of Broken Arrow, Okla., Leroy Schmidt of McPherson, and Jerry Schmidt of Salina.
Tim and Donna Diener visited the Paul Pankratz’s Sunday evening.
The Oliver Mohns, Tim Dieners, Paul Pankratzs, and Pastor Curtis and Connie Wiens attended the 60th wedding anniversary dinner Saturday evening for Gaylord and Valera Hamm at Durham Community Building. Their children sponsored it and other guests were family members.
Rachel Epp and Pearl Koch were Friday evening supper guests of Mike and Nancy Kutsel of Fountain Valley, Calif., at the Kutsel’s bed and breakfast home in Ramona. Additional guests were Betty Parks of Wichita and two friends of the Kutsels’ from Huntington Beach, Calif.
On Saturday, Connie Wiens, Pearl and Rachel were guests of the Kutsels at the October Tea in Ramona, put on by the California girls, Pat Wick and Jessica Gilbert. Mike is a pianist and provided the entertainment at the tea. On Sunday, the Kutsels and their houseguests joined Pearl and Rachel for dinner in Hillsboro, then spent the afternoon visiting at Pearl’s house.
