Ellen Erickson of Tacoma, Wash., spent May 30 to Thursday with her sisters Adeline Bernhardt and Leona Kleiber.
Lucille Kerbs visited Connie Thompson and Taylor on June 6 in Abilene. Connie and Lucille visited Jeremy and Allison Sluder and their new daughter Brooklyn Hope, who was born June 3 in Salina. She weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 20 inches.
Adeline Bernhardt celebrated her 90th birthday with an open house 1 to 4 p.m. June 3 at Tampa Senior Center. Her children, Barney and Linda Bernhardt of Wichita and Carl and Kathy Hubbard of Wellington, were hosts. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended. The center was decorated in a Hawaiian theme. Out-of-state guests included the honoree’s sister, Erickson, Jennifer Kelsey, and Chandler Rusk of Edmond, Okla., Ivan, and Delores Shaw of Saracoxie, Mo., Chuck and Janet Klatt of Kingman, Ariz., Helen Benson of Independence, Mo., and Janet Bentz of Kansas City, Mo. She also had several telephone calls from former students.
Anna Weber and Brianna Svoboda visited Anna’s grandparents, Frank and Anna Mae Stika, June 5.
Debra Dody of Manhattan visited June 6 to spend the next several days with her grandmother, Tillie Hein.
Georgia Spohn received word of the death or her cousin, Ronald Pankratz, of Bend, Ore., on June 5. Pankratz was the brother of Earl Pankratz of Newton and Lenora Graham of Florence.
Erickson, Cindy Vinduska of Marion, Bernhardt, and Leona Kleiber enjoyed dinner at the café June 6 in celebration of Bernhardt’s birthday.
Donald Srajer of Omaha, Neb., spent June 1 to 6 visiting his mother, Tillie Hein, and his son and family, Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant, and Cole.
June 5 dinner guests of Kleiber were Erickson, Lydia Evans of Haysville, and Bernhardt.
Carl and Kathy Hubbard of Wellington were weekend guests of Bernhardt. Gary and Carole Spohn and Georgia Spohn spent the day June 3 with Norma Wagner of Wichita.
Lori Moldenhauer took her parents, Frank and Anna Mae Stika, out to eat June 2 in Marion where they met Nikki Stenzel and Mark Gilford of Manhattan, Lisa Hanschu, and Brylee Sly. The occasion was a celebration of the Stikas’ wedding anniversary.
Helen Benson of Independence, Mo., Erickson, Carl and Kathy Hubbard, and Bernhardt enjoyed supper out June 2 in Lost Springs.
Sydney Smith of Pilsen spent June 1 with her great-grandmother, Lucille Kerbs.
Becky Routh of Augusta, Vinduska, Bernhardt, and Leona Kleiber attended the memorial services at Lewis Cemetery in Ramona on Memorial Day followed by dinner and visiting at Leona’s home.

Phyl Kenney and Bill and Dana Wendling of Lincoln, Neb., were dinner guests of Leona Kleiber on May 26.
Delores Siggs of Goddard visited Bernhardt on May 27.
Lynn and Peggy Kleiber of Salina were hosts for an open house celebration in honor of their daughter, Amanda Baxa, receiving her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Kansas on May 26.
