County democrats meet

Marion County Democrats met Saturday in the Sunflower Room at Marion City Library.

Guests included county chair of Dickinson County, county treasurer Jeanine Bateman, county election officer Tina Spencer, and district court clerk Jan Helmer.

County chair Eileen Sieger conducted a business meeting. The group decided to wait until after the November election to reorganize with officer elections.

Clinton-Kaine yard signs are available for pickup.

Candidates Levi Morris, Jo Schwartz, Mike Beneke, Diane Novak, and Rhonda Casey-Curry spoke during the public portion of the meeting.

A meeting will be Sept. 18. Democrats will be notified as to the time and place.
