NEW ARRESTS

Richard D. Hill, 34, Newton, jailed Friday for allegedly violating probation and three times failing to appear in court. Held in lieu of $2,500 surety bond. Previously jailed seven times for a total of 88 days since July 5, 2019, twice on court orders, three times for failing to appear in court, once while being held for another county, and on suspicion of domestic battery, aggravated battery, aggravated burglary, and criminal damage to property.

Bryce M. Jones, 25, Hutchinson, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed Dec. 3 to 5 and May 15 on court orders and on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and transporting an open container of alcohol.

Steven A. Katz, 37, Lost Springs, jailed Friday for allegedly violating probation. Released two days later for time served. Previously jailed Aug. 13 to 15, June 13 to 20, and Aug. 2, 2020, on court orders and on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, and criminal restraint.

Ashley B. Loomis, 33, Marion, arrested Monday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of possessing stolen property. Released six hours later on $2,500 surety bond. Previously jailed 16 times since Oct. 17, 2018, for a total of 24 days. Previous incarcerations were for 12 times failing to appear in court, twice allegedly violating probation, once being in contempt of court, once on a Herington warrant, and on suspicion of burglary, theft by deception, criminal damage to property, and obstructing apprehension.

Justin M. Loomis, 28, Marion, arrested Monday by Marion police on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a felon, use of an illegally configured weapon, and possession of stolen property. Held in lieu of $5,000 surety bond. Previously jailed eight times since Feb. 26, 2018, for a total of 108 days. Previous incarcerations were for nine times failing to appear in court, once allegedly violating probation, and twice allegedly driving with a license that was canceled, suspended, or revoked. Also jailed previously on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and of attempted burglary and attempted theft.
