Crafters invited to Burns

Staff writer

Candles, plants, and jams and jellies will be available for birthday and holiday gifting Nov. 6 at the 15th annual Ladies Day Out craft fair in Burns.

Nearly 20 vendors from as far as Missouri will offer woodworking, sewing, knitting, jewelry, baked goods, and other crafts in the Burns Community Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Carol Callahan, who will offer ham and beans as well as bierocks for lunch, is managing the craft show.

“There’s a lot of craft shows everywhere, but I’m pretty happy with ours,” she said. “We’re the little town of Burns, but we have a pretty good turnout.”

She said this year, more vendors have been reaching out to her than in previous years, and she’s “trying to squeeze everybody in.”

For more information, call Callahan at (316) 755-8969.
