Cameron Douglas Alvarez, 105 S. 1st St., Herington; plea hearing continued from March 25 to April 12 on charges of residential burglary, three counts felony theft, 13 counts misdemeanor theft, and criminal damage to property.

Chelsea Rose Bair, 209 E. 3rd, Newton; arraigned March 25; waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an hallucinogenic drug (marijuana); status hearing set for April 10.

Joseph M. Bauer, 708 E. 8th, Newton; failed to appear April 1 for arraignment on motion to revoke probation; bench warrant issued with no bond.

Sheila Brown, 309 C St., Ramona; arraigned March 25; waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to charges of unlawfully hosting minors consuming alcoholic liquor or cereal malt beverage and furnishing alcohol to a minor; status and scheduling conference set for April 22.

Adrian Jarod Clay, 720 W. 12th St., Apt. 20, Newton; arraigned March 13 on motion to revoke probation; denied allegations of probation violation; hearing set for April 15.

Cody L. Fistler, 785 N. Old Mill Road, Peabody; made bond appearance April 1 on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property; preliminary hearing set for April 17.

Keith Hess, 1980 Ridge Road, Marion; sentenced March 25 on convictions on charges of two counts of battery; sentenced to two consecutive 30-day controlling jail terms underlying 12 months probation; ordered to pay $478.86, submit to drug and alcohol testing, complete a mental health evaluation to determine the need for anger management, and complete 20 hours community service; forbidden from entering establishments that make most of their revenue from alcohol sales and from having contact with the victims.

Johnnie Liles, 107 S. Elm St., Hillsboro; charge of assault dismissed March 13.

Charles W. Matthews, 901 W. Burns, Herington; plea hearing held March 25; pleaded no contest to charges of criminal damage to property, battery, and obstruction of official duty; sentencing set for May 14.

Mathew Charles Mickey, 313 N. Madison St.; arraigned April 1 on motion to revoke probation on three cases; denied allegations of probation violation; hearing set for April 22; arraigned April 1; pleaded not guilty on a charge of misdemeanor theft; scheduling conference set for April 22.

Patricia Miller, 211 N. Jefferson St., Hillsboro; first amended complaint filed April 10; charge amended from misdemeanor theft to attempted misdemeanor theft.

Leslie O. Riggs, 1094 X Ranch Road, Florence; pretrial status hearing held March 20; pleaded no contest to a charge of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; sentencing set for May 15; charge of possession or consumption of alcoholic beverage by a minor dismissed.

Jean Luc Taylor, 900 N. Walnut St., McPherson; arraignment continued from March 27 to April 15 on motion to revoke probation.

Jarred J. Weems, 403 Vine St., Peabody; hearing held April 9; charges of three counts giving a worthless check dismissed with all fees paid.

Gary D. Williams, 202 Garfield, Marion; amended information filed April 3; charges amended from rape to aggravated indecent liberties with a child and rape.

Traffic

Matthew George Cordona, 412 E. 1st St., Hillsboro; pleaded no contest March 20 to a charge of stop sign violation; ordered to pay $285.50; charges of reckless driving and one count of stop sign violation dismissed.

Bryce J. Crump, 413 E. 6th St., Apt. D, Newton; hearing held March 20; waived right to counsel and proceeded pro se; pleaded no contest to a charge of speeding (75 mph in a 55 mph zone); ordered to pay $203; charge of driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked dismissed.

Patrick Egan, 123 S. Nickerson, Burns; arraigned March 18; arraignment set for April 17 on a charge of driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked.

John Bruce Nieman, 507 W. Frout St., Millsap, Texas; arraigned March 20; waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and requested a jury trial; jury trial set for April 30.

William P. Robinson, 305 N. Spruce St., Peabody; hearing held March 20; waived right to counsel and proceeded pro se; pleaded no contest to a charge of driving without a valid driver’s license in possession; ordered to pay $108.

Fred Reed Williams Jr., 707 Elm St., Peabody; hearing held March 20; waived right to counsel and proceeded pro se; pleaded no contest to a charge of driving without a valid driver’s license in possession; ordered to pay $108.
