Cory Allen Brunzell, Clay Center, pleaded not guilty April 20 to rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, contributing to a child’s misconduct or deprivation, and unlawfully hosting minors in consumption of alcohol liquor or cereal malt beverage; pretrial conference was scheduled for May 11.

Toby Lee Jones, 116 N. Jefferson St., Apt. A, Hillsboro, pleaded not guilty April 12 to circumvention of ignition interlock and failure to submit to a preliminary breath test; pretrial conference was scheduled for May 18.

Derrick Ryan Laplante, 116 N. Jefferson St., Hillsboro, found guilty April 26 of criminal threat; criminal trespass, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct dismissed with prejudice. Sentencing scheduled for June 27.

Nolan Ty Litke, 309 Oak St., Council Grove, court reinstated probation March 9 for 12 months; after six months, court services officer can consider modification of probation if deemed appropriate; defendant has served 48 hours in county jail for admitting usage of marijuana on Feb. 5.

Melissa Ramsey, 624 Marion St., Florence, pleaded not guilty April 20 to possession of methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, transportation of liquor in an open container, and operating a motor vehicle without a tag light; pretrial conference scheduled for June 15.
