Justin M. Carpenter, 25, Indianapolis, was sentenced April 22 to community corrections for possession of cocaine with intent to sell, distribution of ingredients to make methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana without a drug tax stamp. Court records do not indicate the length of his sentence.

Ernest L. Edens formally was charged Friday with rape of a child younger than 14, two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and indecent solicitation of a child.

Nancy D. Garcia, 49, Florence, pleaded no contest April 22 to driving under the influence. Charges of driving while her license was canceled, suspended, or revoked and transporting an open container of alcohol were dismissed. Sentencing is scheduled for June 11.

John E. Hall-Kennedy was sentenced April 10 to community corrections for possession of methamphetamine. Court records do not indicate the length of his sentence.

Jesse L. Marshall, 44, Wichita, formally was charged Friday with assault of a law enforcement officer, criminal damage to property, and interference with law enforcement.

Sarah J.N. Miller formally was charged April 30 with possession of cocaine, codeine, phentermine hydrochloride, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, THC, and drug paraphernalia.

William E. Nichols, 44, Marion, pleaded no contest April 22 to attempted violation of the offender registration act. Sentencing is scheduled for June 12.

A bench warrant was issued April 22 for Amanda R. Rutherford, 44, Hope, after she failed to appear in court.

Thelma R. Wilson’s $1,500 bond was revoked April 22 after she failed to appear in court on charges of misdemeanor theft. Bond money will be held by the district court clerk until Wilson’s case is resolved.
