Daniel C. Penner, 81, of Albuquerque, died Feb. 3 of complications from cancer.
Born in Reedley, Calif., to Cornelius and Tina (Martens) Penner, he was raised on a farm in the San Joaquin Valley.
He attended Tabor College where he met his wife, Martha Eitzen. They were married Sept. 9, 1950, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
The couple retired to Albuquerque, where they lived for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; two sons, Steven of Monkton, Md., and Douglas of Albuquerque; two brothers, Bill of Pinedale, Calif., and Bob of Richmond, Calif.; three sisters, Marion Jones of Pinedale, Alice Isaac of Morro Bay, Calif., and Barbara Langhofer of Fresno, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hope Evangelical Free Church, Albuquerque.
Interment will be at a later date at Ebenfeld Cemetery, Hillsboro.
