Dave E. Weibert, 88, of Hillsboro, died March 16, 2010 at The Cedars in McPherson.
Born Nov. 5, 1921, in Durham, to Peter D. and Mollie (Rauh) Weibert, he graduated from Durham High School in 1940.
He was a farmer and a stockman.
He married Doris G. Becker Oct. 17, 1943, at Elm Springs Bible Hall in Tampa. They farmed and lived southeast of Durham until 1990 when they moved to Hillsboro. Doris preceded him in death.
Dave married Shirley (Bender) Sprick of Russell Sept. 16, 1999, in Hillsboro.
He was a member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
His parents; six brothers, Harry, Harvey, Fred, Peter, Edwin, and Ivan; and a sister, Evelyn, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Hillsboro; two sons, Warren of Manhattan and David M. of Wichita; three daughters, Sheryl White of McPherson, Marilyn Pierce of Clyde, and Kimberly Mohan of Topeka; a stepson, Lance Sprick of the Philippines; a stepdaughter, Joyce Sneath of Quinter; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
Services were Saturday morning at Hillsboro United Methodist Church of Hillsboro with the Rev. Charles Grant officiating.
Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery, Hillsboro.
Memorial funds have been established with the church and Hospice Care of Kansas.
