Art Wiebe

Art Wiebe, 82, of Hillsboro, died Nov. 19, 2008 at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.

Born Aug. 30, 1926 in Finney County, he was the son of Henry A. and Mary (Ens) Wiebe. He was a rehabilitation counselor for the State of Kansas.

On Oct. 12, 1954, he married Ella Voth at Newton.

Survivors include his wife of Hillsboro; four sons, Carl Wiebe of the Middle East, Dale Wiebe of Pine Grove, Calif., Glenn Wiebe of Hillsboro, and Virgil Wiebe of St. Paul, Minn.; two daughters, Bev Wiebe of Hesston and Janice Ollenburger of Elkhart, Ind.; a brother, Orville Wiebe of Richmonda, Va.; a sister, Betty Phillips of Kingsport, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren.

Memorial services were Nov. 24 at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church of Hillsboro with Pastor Steve Schroeder presiding. Burial preceded the services at Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Memorial funds have been established with Kansas Child Evangelism Fellowship or Mennonite Brethren Missions Services International.
