Marvin Jost

Marvin G. Jost, 90, of Hillsboro, died Nov. 28, 2008, at Parkside Homes of Hillsboro.

He was a banker.

Born Jan. 31, 1918 at Hillsboro, he was the son of George S. and Elizabeth (Schroeder) Jost.

He married Rosella Franz Aug. 18, 1940 in Chico, Calif.

He was a member of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Dale and Shirley Jost of Topeka, and James and Colleen Jost of Tualatin, Oreg.; two daughters, Cheryl and Larry McJunkin of Akron, Penn., and Loretta and Gaylen Neufeld of Hesston; two brothers, Leroy Jost of Henderson, Neb., and Dean Jost of Aurora, Neb.; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Dec. 2 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro, with Pastors Clint Seibel and Bill Damberg presiding.

Burial preceded services at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with Tabor College and the church.
