Delbert Kuhn

Delbert N. Kuhn, 70, North Newton, died June 28 at Kansas Christian Home, Newton.

Born July 29, 1938, in Goessel, his parents were Nathaniel and Velma (Wedel) Kuhn.

He was a retired Newton city superintendent.

On Feb. 5, 1968, he married Diana Dillman in Miami, Okla.

He was a member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and served in the National Guard from 1955 to 1958.

A daughter, Barbara Kuhn, and two brothers, Wayne and Norman, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Theron of Omaha, Steve of Goessel, and Delbert R. of Newton; four daughters, Delberta Plenert and DeEdra of McPherson, Dru Kroeker of Hutchinson, and Deanna McDonald of Texas; two sisters, Louise Hinrichs of Olpe and Sandra Gray of Collinsville, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kingdom Life Church, Hesston. The Rev. Scott Miller will preside.

Burial will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Hesston Cemetery.

Memorials to Victor Junction or Newton Senior Center may be sent in care of Miller Funeral Home, Hesston.
