Hillsboro High School senior golfer Devin Dick finished fifth in the regional tournament Monday in Osage City.
He shot a score of 84 and qualified for the state tournament for the second consecutive year.
Dick also placed sixth at the Central Kansas League Tournament on May 8 at Halstead.
“I am happy for Devin to medal in both the CKL and regional tournaments,” head coach Scott O’Hare said. “He has been a solid player for us throughout high school and he is starting to shoot some of his best scores.”
Evan Ollenburger shot a 93 at regionals to finish 13th. Ollenburger was one shot away from making it to state. He also placed 12th with a score of 88 at the CKL tournament.
“It was exciting to have Evan playing off for a medal at league as a sophomore in only his second year of golf,” O’Hare said. “I believe he will be a very solid player over the next two years for us.”
