Dorothy Pankratz

Dorothy Pankratz, 77, of Hillsboro, died Feb. 4, 2009, at Parkside Homes of Hillsboro.

Born June 13, 1931, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Herman J. and Sara (Eitzen) Funk.

She worked in Tabor College food service.

On May 27, 1952, she married Allen W. Pankratz at Hillsboro.

Survivors include her husband of rural Hillsboro; a son, Jerel Pankratz of rural Hillsboro; two daughters, Barbara Thiessen of Wichita, and Krista Heinrichs of Hillsboro; two sisters, Ruby Graumann of Hillsboro and Luella Gunther of Reedley, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday morning at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor Dave Plett officiating.

Burial preceded services at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with Parkside Homes or Kids Connection in care of the church.
