Theater-goers who love variety can get their fill this weekend when Hillsboro High School will perform “A Series of One-Act Plays,” which spring play director Leah Rose said will hit both the funny bone and the tear ducts.
“It’s gonna be fun,” Rose said. “We’re gonna hit a whole range of emotions.”
The three one-act plays, which include a drama, “Little Women,” and comedies “Breaking Badly” and “May the Best Fan Win,” will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday in Hillsboro High School auditorium.
While the cast may be young, Rose said they have worked hard to bring an excellent performance.
“I’m excited to finally see them in front of an audience,” Rose said. “They definitely put the work in, so I’m excited for them to see the payoff from that.”
Seeing fresh young faces perform in front of an audience is not the only exciting part for Rose.
“Because we have such a young cast,” Rose said, “seeing their gifts, talents, and hard work makes me excited about the future as well.”
Tickets are $5, and can be purchased by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or at the door.
