Durham mayor returns to council

Durham Mayor Mike Sorenson thanked Durham City Council members as he resumed presiding over the council Oct. 2 for a gift he received while recovering from surgery.
The council noted that several new residents had moved into Durham with dogs. The council decided to send letters to all residents reminding them to have dogs tagged.
Owners of two old cars have disposed of them after a recent letter asked residents to remove junk cars.
