Eight Goessel runners set personal bests at Berean

Four Goessel athletes medaled in Thursday’s meet at Berean Academy.
Head coach Brian Lightner was pleased with the results of the cross-country meet.
“The younger runners continue to make progress as we had eight personal records from this event,” he said.
Two girls medaled with Elsie Clark finishing in 13th place with 22:16.2, and Elyse Boden in 24th with 23:29.6.
Dawson Duerksen was the top boys runner, finishing 15 in the varsity race with a time 18:29.8 and Adrian Kastner, was junior varsity winner with 19:24.4.
“We have one more meet before the big three,” Lightner said — Wheat State League meet, regional and state.
