These radio dispatches to firefighters and emergency medical technicians were monitored in the past week:
aug. 2
7:54 a.m. — Peabody ambulance was called for a 93-year-old female who had fallen. Patient was transported to Newton Medical Center at 8:22 a.m.
11:56 a.m. — Marion ambulance responded to St. Luke Hospital for an emergency transfer to Salina Regional Hospital. Ambulance returned to the station at 3:20 p.m.
aug. 3
5:55 p.m. — Marion fire department and ambulance were called to the Marion Reservoir. A motor home had caught on fire near a residence. Hillsboro fire department was called at 6:03 p.m. for mutual aid as the residence had also caught on fire. Lincolnville fire department was called at 6:36 p.m. and Tampa fire department was called at 6:39 p.m. for mutual aid with tankers. Tampa fire department was released from the scene at 8:07 p.m., Hillsboro tanker released at 8:13 p.m., Lincolnville tanker released at 8:55 p.m., all other Hillsboro units released at 9:12 p.m., Marion ambulance released at 10:13 p.m., Marion fire department returned to the station at 11:07 p.m.
7:04 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to Casey’s for a victim of an accident complaining of back pain. Two firefighters were requested to help with lifting the 65-year-old female who was transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital and on to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis Street, Wichita, returned at 10:48 p.m.
11:09 p.m. — Peabody ambulance was called to Olive Street for an injury and transported individual to Newton Medical Center at 11:29 p.m.
Thursday
1:35 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to Hillsboro Community Hospital for an emergency transfer to Wesley Medical Center. Returned to Hillsboro at 4:33 p.m.
2:23 p.m. — Marion fire department and ambulance were called for a diesel tank that was leaking fuel. Ambulance was released from the scene and returned to service at 2:51 p.m.; fire department returned at 3:10 p.m.
6:45 p.m. — Peabody fire department and ambulance were called to a fire on Indigo Road. Emergency vehicles returned to service at 8:03 p.m.
11:21 p.m. — Florence fire department and ambulance responded to a barn that was on fire. Peabody fire department was called at 11:26 p.m. for mutual aide. Ambulance was released from the scene at 2:08 a.m. and Peabody was released at 2:26 a.m. Florence fire department stayed at the scene until 3:18 a.m.
Friday
2:22 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance was called for a 67 year old male having trouble breathing. The ambulance crew requested two firefighters at 2:34 a.m. to help with lifting the patient; and was transported at 2:47 a.m. to Hillsboro Community Hospital.
Saturday
1:25 a.m. — Peabody ambulance was called for a 65-year-old male who had fallen.
12:31 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance was called for an elderly man who wasn’t feeling well. The patient was transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital at 12:51 p.m.
2:56 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to Hillsboro Community Hospital for a transfer to Newton Medical Center. The ambulance arrived in Newton at 3:47 p.m. returned at 4:44 p.m.
7:35 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance was called for an 82-year-old female who had fallen. Transported patient to Hillsboro Community Hospital at 8:10 p.m. and returned to service at 9:11 p.m.
Sunday
10:41 a.m. — Peabody ambulance and Florence rescue, fire department, and ambulance responded to a rollover accident on U.S. 50. Marion ambulance was called to the accident at 10:43 a.m. Requests for Peabody and Marion ambulances were canceled at 10:50 a.m. All Florence emergency vehicles returned to service at 12:23 p.m.
6:52 p.m. — Tampa ambulance, rescue, and fire department responded to a car vs. train accident in Durham. Crews arrived at the scene at 7:02 p.m.; ambulance returned to service at 7:46 p.m. Tampa fire returned at 7:59 p.m.
Monday
1:28 p.m. — Florence ambulance was called for a 36-year-old male who was transported to St. Luke Hospital. Ambulance returned to service at 2:17 p.m.
