Emergency dispatches

These dispatches were made by the Marion County Communications Department:

Oct. 30

12:21 p.m. — Marion ambulance and Florence first response transported a male in his 50s having difficulties with his hip replacement in the 100 block of East 7th St. in Florence to Newton Medical Center. Florence Fire Department provided lifting assistance.

3:41 p.m. — Durham Fire Department extinguished a combine on fire along 300th between Falcon and Eagle.

8:17 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported an injured football player to Hillsboro Community Hospital with possible spinal injury.

9:30 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance provided emergency transport of a patient from Hillsboro Community Hospital to Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita.

Oct. 31

10:21 p.m. — Peabody ambulance transferred a patient from Peabody Care Center to Newton Medical Center.

Thursday

11:39 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance and Marion ambulance responded to the 100 block of South Elm Street in Hillsboro for a man in his 70s and a woman in her 50s, both reporting lightheadedness, disorientation, and inability to walk. No carbon monoxide was detected in the residence. The patients were transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

Friday

6:41 a.m. — Marion ambulance responded to the 200 block of North Locust Street for a medical alert. No transport was required.

7:13 p.m. — Burns first response, Florence ambulance, and Florence Fire Department responded to a one-vehicle rollover on U.S. 77 one-quarter mile north of Burns. There were no injuries.

9:02 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a woman in her 60s who had fallen and was weak and vomiting in the 1500 block of East Lawrence Street to St. Luke Hospital.

9:35 p.m. — Lincolnville first response, Lincolnville Fire Department, Tampa ambulance, and Tampa Fire Department responded to a car/cow accident on U.S. 77 between 230th and 240th. The Marion backup ambulance was called at 9:52. Patients were transported to St. Luke Hospital. Life Team helicopter ambulance transported one of the patients from Marion airport Via Christi-St. Francis.

Saturday

9:19 a.m. — Peabody ambulance transported a woman in her 80s with a possible stroke in the 400 block of Vista Road to St. Luke Hospital. Burns first response also responded.

12:51 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a woman in her 80s who was unconscious but breathing at Marion Assisted Living to St. Luke Hospital.

7:29 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a male in his teens who had fallen off a second-story balcony in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

Monday

6:19 a.m. — Marion ambulance transported a man in his 80s with severe abdominal pain at Marion Assisted Living to St. Luke Hospital.

9:39 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a woman in her 80s with difficulty breathing in the 300 block of East A Street to Hillsboro Community Hospital. Hillsboro Fire Department provided lifting assistance.

11:22 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance provided emergency transport of a patient from Hillsboro Community Hospital to St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita with a nurse riding along.

11:22 a.m. — Florence ambulance transported woman in her 50s who fell in the 700 block of North Main Street to St. Luke Hospital. Florence Fire Department provided lifting assistance.
