6:22 a.m. — Marion ambulance transferred a patient with a fractured bone from St. Luke Hospital to Newton Medical Center.

10:09 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transferred a patient from Wesley Medical Center in Wichita to Parkside Homes.

12:33 p.m. — Peabody ambulance responded to the 900 block of N. Elm St. but did not transport a man in his 80s who fell of a porch and cut his head.

2:17 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took an elderly man who tripped and injured his leg from the 800 block of N. Elm St. to Newton Medical.

5:57 p.m. — Marion firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in the 400 block of N. Roosevelt St.

7:13 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance took a man who had a fever, lost consciousness, and couldn’t move after an afternoon of golfing from the 400 block of Briarwood Lane to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

10:20 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a woman who was vomiting uncontrollably from the 400 block of N. Vine St. to Newton Medical.

11:05 p.m. — Marion ambulance responded to the 400 block of N. Vine St. in Peabody but did not transport a man who fell and hit his head.

June 11

6:05 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance assisted but did not transport a man in his 40s who fell out of his wheelchair at the intersection of Ash and F Sts.

10:46 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance and rescue, Goessel first response and fire, Peabody ambulance, and Eagle Med air ambulance responded to a car-motorcycle crash on 120th Rd. between Diamond and Eagle Rds. Hillsboro ambulance took a patient to Newton Medical, and Eagle Med took a patient to Wesley Medical.

Thursday

3:47 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a man in his 60s who had chest pain from Peabody Care Center to Newton Medical.

Friday

10:07 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transferred a resident with renal failure from Parkside Homes to Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita.

11:20 a.m. — Peabody ambulance transferred a patient who had chest pain from St. Luke to Newton Medical.

6:36 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a recently discharged surgical patient who suffered complications from the 400 block of S. Fourth St. to St. Luke.

7:19 a.m. — Lincolnville first responders were sent to check out the driver after a motorcycle laid over three miles north of Lincolnville on U.S. 77. Tampa ambulance arrived at 7:44 p.m. and arrived back in Tampa at 8:35 p.m. without transporting a patient.

9:24 p.m. — Marion ambulance was dispatched to Eastshore Subdivision for a report of a woman suffering a heart attack. She was transported to Hillsboro Community.

11:45 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transferred a patient to Wesley.

Saturday

6:04 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a man who had fallen from Parkside Homes to Hillsboro Community.

9:38 a.m. — Peabody ambulance was dispatched from Marion City Building, where ambulance crews were training, to Peabody Care Center to transport a patient with a low oxygen level to Newton Medical.

3:22 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance was dispatched from Marion to transport a patient with a fractured hip from Hillsboro Community to Newton Medical.

5:54 p.m. — Marion firefighters responded to a fire alarm and report of smoke from a microwave oven at St. Luke. Marion ambulance also was called, but the call was canceled.

9:21 p.m. — Marion ambulance, with lifting help from Marion firefighters, transported an ill man with swollen legs from the 200 block of Walnut St. to St. Luke.

Sunday

1:18 a.m. — Marion ambulance transported first to St. Luke then, at 7:36 a.m., to St. Francis a Hillsboro Cove camper who fell and was burned.

3:24 a.m. — With Marion ambulance still on the previous call, Peabody ambulance was dispatched to Lakeshore Drive at Marion County Lake for a report of a man not breathing. A Marion EMT, arriving as a first responder, reported at 3:37 a.m. that the patient had died but later changed that to a report that the patient had no pulse or respiration. Following squad car lights of a sheriff’s deputy, the Peabody ambulance arrived at 3:52 a.m. and transported the patient, with no pulse or respiration, to St. Luke.

5:05 a.m. — With Marion ambulance still not having departed for St. Francis, the Peabody ambulance, still in Marion, was dispatched to transport to St. Luke a woman who had fallen in the 500 block of N. Coble St. and suffered potentially life-threatening injuries. The Peabody ambulance returned to Peabody at 7:52 a.m. The Marion ambulance returned to Marion at 10:09 a.m.

1:33 p.m. — Durham first responders and Tampa ambulance were dispatched to a report of a recent surgical patient who twisted her arm in a fall at Durham Community Center.

2:20 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a possible stroke victim from 500 block of E. Grand Ave. to Hillsboro Community.

3:46 p.m. — Marion and Hillsboro ambulances and Marion firefighters and rescue squad were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at Denver and Cedar Sts. Jaws of Life were requested, and a helicopter ambulance was called, but neither was used. Both patients were taken to St. Luke.

4:15 p.m. — Peabody ambulance made an advanced life support transfer from Hillsboro Community to Kansas Heart in Wichita, departing at 5 p.m. and returning to Peabody at 6:48 p.m.

4:34 p.m. — Marion firefighters responded to a report of a smoking electric box, which turned out to be a sewer station, on Back Bay Court at the county lake.

8:29 p.m. — Marion ambulance transferred a patient with a fractured shoulder from St. Luke to Newton Medical. The ambulance returned to Marion at 11:24 p.m.

Monday

12:34 a.m. — Marion ambulance transported to St. Luke a woman who fell and cut her head at a Lois Lane address at the county lake.

4:48 a.m. — Goessel first responders and Hillsboro ambulance were dispatched to a report of a woman who had fallen at a Commercial Street address in Goessel. She was transported to Newton Medical.

9:18 a.m. — Tampa ambulance transported a patient to St. Luke. Other information about the call was garbled.

1:54 p.m. — Florence firefighters reported a truck stalled in the U.S. 50/77 roundabout in Florence and helped detour traffic until 2:32 p.m. State troopers also were called.
