These broadcasts regarding fire and ambulance calls were monitored this past week by the newspaper.

sept. 19

2:03 p.m. — A patient at St. Luke Hospital was taken by Marion ambulance to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

2:24 p.m. — On the request of an officer, a person with a possible shoulder injury at the Hillsboro Police Department office was checked by Hillsboro ambulance. The person was not taken to a hospital.

8:49 p.m. — A woman with leg pain was checked by Peabody ambulance. An address could not be determined from newspaper recordings. The woman was not taken to a hospital.

10:08 p.m. — Tampa ambulance, Lincolnville firefighters and first responders, and Marion firefighters responded to a rollover accident on US-77 near 300th Rd. Recorded transmissions indicated a Lifeteam helicopter was en route and a landing zone on the highway was being established, but no transmissions were recorded regarding landing and possible destination.

10:26 p.m. — A patient at Hillsboro Community Hospital was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Wesley Medical Center.

11:11 p.m. — A woman with an unknown medical condition in the 100 block of E. Scott St. in Burns was taken by Peabody ambulance to Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado. Burns first responders assisted.

Sept. 20

6:05 a.m. — A patient at HCH was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Via Christi – St. Francis.

1:39 p.m. — A woman at Parkside Homes with an unspecified condition was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Newton Medical Center.

2:24 p.m. — An elderly female who fell in the 400 block of N. Cedar St. in Marion was taken by Marion ambulance to HCH.

2:32 p.m. — A patient at St. Luke Hospital was taken by Peabody ambulance to HCH.

8:55 p.m. — A women who fell and had a possible broken hip at Bethesda Homes in Goessel was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Newton Medical Center. Goessel first responders assisted.

thursday

9:12 a.m. — Goessel first responders assisted with a Harvey County call on K-15 for an unresponsive male who was breathing.

11:56 a.m. — A patient at St. Luke Hospital was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Wesley Medical Center.

5:18 p.m. — A student who fell and hit their head after blacking out at Tabor College cafeteria was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

9:03 p.m. — Burned food at Dakota Hall at Tabor College set off a fire alarm, prompting a response by Hillsboro fire. The area was ventilated and the alarm panel reset.

friday

4:11 a.m. — A woman with chest pains on Upland Rd. between Bluestem Ln. and Lakeshore Dr. at the county lake was taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke.

12:10 p.m. — A woman in her 60s who fell in the 600 block of E. Marion St. in Goessel was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Newton Medical Center. Goessel first responders assisted.

2:56 p.m. — A vehicle fire near the Lehigh post office was extinguished by Hillsboro firefighters.

5:25 p.m. — A man in his 80s with a possible stroke in the 1100 block of Denver St. was taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke.

5:29 p.m. — A teen with a possible neck injury resulting from a fall during cheerleading practice at the 4-H building at the county fairgrounds was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

7:32 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance advised dispatchers they were involved with a patient at Wiens Stadium at Tabor College. The patient was taken to HCH

9:01 p.m. — A patient at HCH was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Wesley Medical Center.

saturday

3:14 p.m. — A vehicle fire on the US-77 Cottonwood River bridge north of Florence was extinguished by Florence firefighters.

3:38 p.m. — A woman with knee pain resulting from a fall in the 100 block of S. Birch St. was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

sunday

10:41 a.m. — Peabody ambulance responded to the 100 block of N. Vine St. Patient information could not be determined due to garbled transmissions, but no one was transported to a hospital.

8:49 p.m. — A patient at HCH was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Wesley Medical Center.

11:15 p.m. — A patient at St. Luke was taken by Marion ambulance to Newton Medical Center.

monday

8:20 p.m. — A male subject having a seizure in the 500 block of N. Vine St. was taken by Peabody ambulance to St. Luke.
