Broadcast about these fire and ambulance calls were monitored this past week by the newspaper,

July 24

2:15 a.m. — A 24-year-old male, with a shoulder popped out of socket, in the 400 block of E. 1st, Hillsboro, refused being taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital by ambulance, instead went by private vehicle.

1:35 p.m. — A person fell in a parking lot in 1500 block of E. Main St., Marion, they were taken to St. Luke Hospital by Marion ambulance.

2:04 p.m. — In the 400 block of S. 4th St. in Marion, a 55-year-old diabetic male was unconscious with labored breathing and vomiting up old blood. He was taken to St. Luke Hospital by Marion ambulance.

3:30 p.m. — A 41-year-old female with a recent stent complaining of leg pain and headache in the 600 block of E. Marion St. in Goessel was taken to Newton Medical Center by Hillsboro ambulance.

4:09 p.m. — A patient was taken from HCH by Marion ambulance to Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

4:54 p.m. — A baler east of Pawnee and 100th Rds. caught a grass field on fire that the Peabody firefighters extinguished.

5:40 p.m. — A 28-year-old semi driver in the area of 330th and K-15, pulled over complaining of heat exhaustion. Tampa ambulance took the male patient to HCH.

11:28 p.m. — An 80-year-old female was feeling dizzy in the 400 block of W. 1st St. in Hillsboro, was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

Wednesday

12:50 a.m. — A male patient fell at Salem Home in Hillsboro, was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

8:32 a.m. — An oil well in the area of 240th and Upland Rds. had caught on fire. Lincolnville firefighters put the fire out and returned to the station at 9:07 a.m.

10:18 a.m. — A patient having seizures and bleeding from the mouth in the 100 block of South Olive St., Peabody, Marion ambulance took the patient to Newton Medical Center.

thursday

2:58 a.m. — A 74-year-old woman slid out of bed at Backbay Court at the Marion County lake, and needed assistance to get her up, refused to be taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance.

7:10 a.m. — A 92-year-old female at Salem Home had fallen and was complaining of hip pain, patient was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

3:12 p.m. — A patient was taken back to Salem Home by Hillsboro ambulance from HCH.

4:57 p.m. — A cardiac patient was taken from St. Luke Hospital to Newton Medical Center by Marion ambulance.

7:32 p.m. — A female at in the Backbay Court area at Marion County Lake had fallen and needed assistance from Marion ambulance, she was then taken to St. Luke’s.

11:52 p.m. — A patient from St. Luke was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita by Marion ambulance.

friday

2:46 a.m. — A 70-year-old male with cold skin, severe sweating, and high blood pressure in the 300 block of N. Ash St. in Hillsboro was taken to HCH.

10:03 a.m. — Marion firefighters were called to a smoke alarm going off in a laundry room in the area 1900 Pawnee Rd., but was quickly disregarded.

10:10 a.m. — Marion ambulance took a patient from St. Luke Hospital to St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita.

3:41 p.m. — Marion ambulance took a patient from St. Luke to McPherson Hospital.

10:15 p.m. — A car versus deer accident caused air-bag deployment in the area of 150th and Yarrow Rd., patient refused being taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance.

saturday

6:42 a.m. — A female who had fallen in the 500 block of S. Cedar in Marion, refused be taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance.

6:09 a.m. — Marion sheriff requested Peabody ambulance to be on stand-by in the 100 block of S. Olive in Peabody, with one responder, Florence ambulance also responded. The two patients refused going to a hospital by Peabody or Florence ambulance.

10:53 p.m. — A 53-year-old male at Westview Manor, Peabody, with pneumonia, was unresponsive, a Peabody first responder and Hillsboro ambulance responded, patient was taken to Newton Medical Center by Hillsboro ambulance.

Sunday

6:07 p.m. — A 68-year-old male at Westview Manor in Peabody, was having difficulty breathing, was taken to NMC by Peabody ambulance.

monday

3:27 a.m. — A 60-year-old male was having chest pains in the 700 block of S. Washington, Hillsboro ambulance took the patient to HCH.

8:42 a.m. — A 2-year-old was having a seizure in the 400 block of S. Jefferson, Hillsboro, the patient was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita by Hillsboro ambulance.

11:26 a.m. — An elderly female fell in the 500 block of S. Cedar, Marion. Marion ambulance assisted getting the female up off the floor.

6:13 p.m. — A female fell from her walker and was unable to get up in the 3100 Sunflower Rd. area, patient refused to be taken to a hospital by Tampa ambulance.

10:36 p.m. — A female subject was shaking and vomiting in the area of 170th near Hillsboro. Hillsboro ambulance was en route to location when they got stuck on a county road and Hillsboro fire was paged to assist EMS with a 4-wheel drive, but the ambulance freed themselves. Marion ambulance was also en route to assist, but was soon disregarded. Hillsboro ambulance took the patient to HCH in Hillsboro.
