12:30 a.m. — A 77-year-old woman with chest pains was taken from a farmhouse near 230th and Pawnee Rds. to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Marion ambulance.
2:30 p.m. — A patient was to be transferred from St. Luke Hospital, Marion, to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, but the county ambulance director reported that the ambulance service did not have sufficient staffing to make the transfer.
8:24 p.m. — An unresponsive person at a home on Random Rd. at Marion County Park and Lake was taken to St. Luke by Marion ambulance.
10:04 p.m. — A smoke alarm at Tabor College townhouses was checked by Hillsboro firefighters and found to be a false alarm.
1:34 a.m. — An 85-year-old man with chest pains was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance from the 300 block of S. Kennedy St. in Hillsboro.
7:12 a.m. — An HCH patient was transferred to Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita, by Hillsboro ambulance.
3:24 p.m. — An 88-year-man who was feeling weak and unable to walk in the 200 block of S. Buller St. in Goessel was taken to Newton Medical Center by Hillsboro ambulance. First responders from Goessel assisted with the call.
5:02 p.m. — Marion firefighters responded to a call about a burning tree along Lakeshore Dr. at the county lake.
5:34 p.m. — A 93-year-old woman who was weak and feeling ill in the 500 block of N. Roosevelt St. in Marion was taken to St. Luke by Marion ambulance. The ambulance had been summoned by a Marion police officer checking on the woman’s well-being.
4:42 a.m. — A 71-year-old man with difficulty breathing and tightness in his chest was taken to Newton Med by Peabody ambulance from the 300 block of N. Sycamore St. in Peabody.
5:13 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a patient to Newton Med. Technical problems prevented recording of details about the call.
6:43 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a patient to HCH. Technical problems prevented recording of details about the call.
12:17 a.m. — An HCH patient was transferred to Via Christi – St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, by Hillsboro ambulance.
10:16 a.m. — Marion ambulance was summoned for a 66-year-old man who was thought to have lost consciousness at a home on Lakeshore Dr. at the county lake. Technical problems prevented recording of further details about the call.
5:28 p.m. — A 97-year-old man who fell in the 200 block of N. Pine St. in Peabody and hit his head initially declined to be taken to a hospital by Peabody ambulance. The ambulance returned at 8:21 p.m. and took the man, who reportedly had become agitated, to Newton Med.
10:01 p.m. — A 70-year-old woman who fell at a residence on 50th Rd. near Wonsevu in Chase County requested a Marion County ambulance. Marion ambulance took her to Susan B. Allen Hospital in El Dorado.
2:22 p.m. — A 72-year-old man with chest pains and dizziness was taken by Marion ambulance to Newton Med from a farmhouse near 80th and Xavier Rds.
7:20 p.m. — A row of trees set ablaze by a passing train along US-50 between Union and Wagon Wheel Rds. was extinguished by Peabody firefighters.
7:34 p.m. — A patient may have been transferred by ambulance to Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka, but technical problems prevented monitoring of details about the call.
2:11 p.m. — Peabody firefighters investigated a report of smoke on the south side of US-50 east of Peabody and determined it to be dust from a previous controlled burn, kicked up by high winds.
7:24 p.m. — A third party notified dispatchers that someone described only as “having trouble” and riding in a small sport-utility vehicle would meet Peabody ambulance attendants at Peabody fire station. The ambulance took the patient to Newton Med.
3:19 a.m. — A 60-year-old man suffering chest pains in the 400 block of W. 5th St. in Florence was taken to Newton Med by Marion ambulance. First responders from Florence were paged but did not answer the call.
8:44 a.m. — K-15 in Durham was blocked for about an hour by a train that a Tampa firefighter said had gone into emergency shutdown for unspecified reasons.
4:02 p.m. — A patient with an undisclosed complaint in the 400 block of N. Walnut St. in Peabody decided to go St. Luke by private vehicle rather than be taken by Peabody ambulance.
4:29 p.m. — A St. Luke patient was transferred to Salem Home by Marion ambulance.
