Emler’s successor to be chosen Thursday

Republican precinct committee men and women will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the McPherson Opera House, 219 S. Main St., McPherson, to elect Jay Scott Emler’s successor as state senator for the 35th District, which includes Marion County.

Emler was appointed by Gov. Sam Brownback to the Kansas Corporation Commission.
