Emma Weber
Emma Weber, 87, of Herington, died May 9, 2009, at her home.
Born Dec. 1, 1921, near Durham, she was the daughter of Jacob H. and Eva Elizabeth (Wasamiller) Winter.
On Aug. 18, 1946, she married Eldon G. Weber at Trinity Lutheran Church in Durham. He survives of Herington.
She was a homemaker. She also worked at Lutheran Home of Herington and the civil service at Fort Riley. Prior to her marriage, she worked at a grocery store in Durham.
Two brothers, Carl Winter and Reinhold Winter, and two sisters, Lydia Laubhan and Leah Laubhan, preceded her in death.
Other survivors include two sons, Marvin Weber of Vassar, Vernon Weber of Herington; a brother, Edwin Winter of Hillsboro; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday morning at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shadybrook, north of Herington, with Pastor John Riebhoff officiating.
Burial followed at the church cemetery.
