Engagement announced

Steve and Janet Matz of Lincolnville announce the engagement of their son, Andrew Matz, to Brittany Young, daughter of Tim Young of Vian, Oklahoma.

Both of Gardner, the couple plan to be married Oct. 12 at Countryside Chalet in Linwood.

The bride-to-be grew up in Texas and graduated from Fossil Ridge High School in Keller, Texas. She works at SCI in Kansas City as a scheduling logistics coordinator.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Centre High School and from Emporia State University with a degree in computer technology. He is self-employed and runs A Plus Lawn Care.
