Hillsboro senior Harry Faber placed fifth in the Hesston Invitational Tournament on April 24.
Faber defeated Austin Brown of Hutchinson Trinity Catholic by default but lost to Peter Horton of McPherson, 8-2. Faber then defeated Michael Ryan of Central Plains, 8-6, and Dylan Stos of McPherson, 8-7 (5) for fifth.
“It was good to play against some excellent players, as this was a big tournament with larger schools such as McPherson and Buhler,” head coach Stuart Holmes said. “To earn a medal at this tourney, is an achievement.”
Faber was the only Hillsboro tennis player to win a match in the tournament.
