ROUND THE TOWN:   Families celebrate Easter

Arlene Pankratz had Marissa Diener of Wichita, Kent and Emily Nichol and Jack of Hesston, David Kadel of Randall, Ken Pankratz, and Van VanTauber of Durham over for Easter dinner on Sunday.

Norman and Dot Ensz had Easter dinner with their family on Sunday in Hesston at the home of Bruce and Brenda Eitzen.

Many people from the area attended a memorial service for Muriel Christiansen Monday at Durham Baptist Church. Having taught school in Durham before she married Irwin Christiansen, Muriel resided in the Durham area for many years.

Kings’ Daughters meet

Eighteen members of Durham Baptist King’s Daughters met April 10 for their monthly meeting. Donna Diener taught a lesson and Kay Carlson led the mission study. Autumn Chisholm and Chris Herbel were hosts.

Supper guests of Tim and Donna Diener April 13 were Kent and Emily Nichol and Jack of Hesston; Marissa Diener of Wichita; and Arlene Pankratz. Kent’s birthday was celebrated.

Willis and Ruth Ann Penner went with Tom and Tam Leppke to the Mennonite Central Committee’s auction April 12 in Hutchinson.

Clara Ensz was dinner guest April 13 of Abe and Louise Ensz of rural Hillsboro.

Dinner guests April 12 of Duane and Shirley Hamms were Albert, Sara, and Andrew Christenses of Bel Aire.

Larry and Ruth Hamm attended the Eagle Scout Ceremony April 13 in McPherson. John Nachigal was one of the participants.
