Hillsboro High School Family, Carreer, and Community Leaders of America members qualified to compete in the national FCCLA Knowledge Bowl.

Alyssa Bettles, Ashely Brandt, Emily Hoskinson, Aubrey Meier, and Ashlyn Simmons competed in the contest Nov. 5 and 6 at the cluster meeting in St. Louis, Mo. Before advancing to the head-to-head competition, team members completed a 100-question test.

Earlier, team members qualified for the cluster competition based on their scores on an online test. The national competition will be in July.

While in St. Louis, the students also attended leadership sessions, heard speakers, toured an art display, and visited the Gateway Arch. Adviser Monica Leihy accompanied the students.
