FFA attends national event
Members of Hillsboro High School FFA chapter weren’t sure if they were going to the national convention in October in Indianapolis until the chapter was selected as the recipient of a $2,500 donation through the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.
Local farmers Warren and Anita Unruh were drawn as winners for Marion County of $2,500. They designated the HHS FFA chapter.
Not all of the funds were spent on the convention.
“I would like to send some of the students to a leadership conference,” adviser Sonya Roberts said.
