County firefighters will benefit from $77,154.92 soon to be distributed by Kansas Insurance Department.

The money is designated for firefighter relief funds, used to purchase accident, health, disability, and life insurance for firefighters in the event of injury or death in the line of duty.

The Kansas State Firefighters Association will give:

• Burns: $4,897.07;
• Florence: $3,934.60;
• Hillsboro: $14,249.65;
• Lehigh: $2,406.44;
• Lincolnville/Clear Creek: $6,111.65;
• Durham: $2,118.41;
• Goessell: $9,106.54;
• Ramona: $2,085.46;
• Peabody rural: $10,721.24;
• Lost Spring: $2,315.30;
• Marion: $14,076.46;
• Peabody: $3,130.93; and
• Tampa: $2,001.17.
