Foundation gives $16K for children's health

The Hillsboro Community Foundation recently gave a $16,000 grant for children’s health services in USD 410 from the Marga Ebel Fund.

The grant will support immunization, WIC nutrition, and healthy start programs and childcare licensing through Marion County Health Department; staff and student health coordination and student dental health coordination through USD 410; and early childhood services through Comprehensive Early Childhood Health Initiative.

CECHI coordinates healthy start home visits and home visits by nurses, as well as collaborates with Parents as Teachers, Marion County Special Education Cooperative, Families and Communities Together, Prairie View mental health services, Child Start, Health Wave, and Head Start.
