The Mennonite Brethren Foundation helped facilitate $1,632,525 in charitable gifts to other charities in 2009. According to the foundation, $200,126 of this was distributed to Hillsboro area charities.

Of the charitable gifts facilitated in 2009, nearly 30 percent was distributed to non-Mennonite Brethren charities. Two new employees were added to the Hillsboro office of the foundation in the last 18 months to help better serve both national and local clientele.
