Franzen recognized by national merit program

Goessel High School student Hannah Franzen has been named a commended student in the 2011 National Merit Scholarship program.

Franzen was among about 34,000 students in the U.S. recognized for their academic promise. Although Franzen will not continue in the 2011 competition for National Merit Scholarships, commended students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition.
