Future course wide open for Marion grad

Staff writer

Devin Hamm couldn’t wait to spread his wings and fly away after graduating this spring from Marion High School.

He is living and working in Wichita while taking classes at the Andover campus of Butler Community College.

“It’s a little scary thinking about becoming an adult,” he said. “But at the same time, it’s exciting to explore all my options and see what I can do.”

Devin graduated fourth in his class and hasn’t decided what path to pursue.

He said he was considering becoming a medical doctor but also would like to have his own business or manage a business.

“I don’t want to limit my options,” he said. “There are many things I want to do. I hope I can complete them all.”

He plans to attend Butler full-time this fall.

His parents are Travis and Danyel Hamm.
