Gerald Kessler, 76, of rural Lehigh died June 4 at his home. He was born March 2, 1937, to Rudolf and Katherine (Kasper) Kessler in Hillsboro.

He married Joyce Thiessen on June 9, 1958, in Hillsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Kessler of rural Lehigh; son, Lynn Kessler of rural Lehigh; two daughters, Renay Neufeldt of Buhler and Melanie Reed of McPherson; and nine grandchildren.

A celebration of life was Monday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro. Visitation was Sunday at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.

Memorial funds have been established for Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church and Gideons International.
