Get out your best chili recipe

A beloved tradition of 12 years, Marion County Park and Lake chili cook-off will be 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at Marion County Lake Hall.

Prizes for best chili are $100 for first, $50 for second, and $35 for third. Registration is at the lake office.

The fifth annual open class car show will begin at 10:30 a.m. and last until 2:30 p.m., with registration at 9:30 a.m.

Corn hole pitching enthusiasts can register for the tournament that follows the cook-off and car show. Entry fee for the tournament is $5. Singles and doubles are welcome.

Proceeds benefit Marion County Park and Lake.
