A large Berean Academy team scored more points April 28 than both the boys and girls’ Goessel squads.

However, the Bluebirds won several events and the girls continued to improve performances in the Peabody-Burns meet hosted by Berean.

Craig Banman brought home individual gold in all three sprints.

Anthony Esau finished first in long jump with his best jump of the season.

Weston Hiebert won the 300-meter hurdles, Jared Reimer finished ahead of the field in the 3200m run, and Evan Hiebert jumped higher than anyone else in the high jump.

The 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams took first for the boys.

Aspen Frey brought home gold with her best throw of the season in javelin, and a strong performance in the1600m run.

Kristen Hoffman ran the season’s fastest time in the 3200, and Shanna Klassen finished first in the discus with her best throw of the season.
